Looking for a Samuel H Brown who was a surgeon in the civil war and lived in Cadiz, Ohio. He had a daughter Ida Byers Brown (alexander). The mother died in childbirth. I am not sure of other siblings. Ida married a Eugene Alexander whom I am also looking for.

Am trying to locate the surname and family information concerning Mary (?) who married John Staffy/Steffy (many different spellings for this surname). According to her death certificate she died on the 5 Jun 1887 in Noble County, OH. Harrison County, OH is listed on the death certificate as her place of birth. I have not been able to locate a marriage date for this couple either. Possibly married in Harrison County. They were the parents of 11 children. One of these children was Lorenzo D Staffy born 1844. Married Mary Matilda Decker in Noble County, OH. Died 29 Jun 1908 in Freeport, Harrison Co., OH. Do not know where he is buried. Neither have I been able to locate a place of burial for John and Sarah. Any help with this information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I am looking for information on Alanson CLARK.  The only information that I have is that he was the son of Freeman CLARK and Serepta HAVEN.  He was born about 1830 in Cortland Co., NY (probably in Scott).  He had brothers: Freeman, Melvin, Henry, Leonard, Nelson and George. He also had sisters: Angelina, Betsy and Celestia.  They  all lived in the Allegany Co., NY area. He was married before 1855 to Julia. He was living in Scio, Allegany Co., NY .  He was a Civil War Veteran.  Before 1872 he was married to Serepta SPICHT who was born in Ireland. This marriage information was off from his son Fred's marriage license.

Looking for info regarding g.g.grandfather, Robert Nelson SIMONTON.  He married Louise(a) H. Rankin of Penn. in 1848 and they were married in Washington county Penn.  Robert Nelson was born in Leesburg, Highland County, Ohio 5/1830 or 1828.  Lived in Deersville, Ohio for 13 years, app. 1851-1863.  He was known as R.N. or Nelson and had a cabinet shop.  When living in Deersville, had 3 or 4 children, Hiram (died as a small child), Jean, W.C. (male), and A.M. (Alexander).  A.M. was born in Deersville, in 4/2/1852.  Moved to Chicago app. 1867 till 1872 then to Iowa and finally settling in Nuckolls County, NE in 1872, where he became an attorney.  R.N. possibly could have had 2 brothers, L.S. and Hiram or Hiram maybe his father?  Also maybe 2 or 3 sisters.  Any info regarding R.N. and his family would be greatly appreciated.

Who were the parents of Otho B. Kent, b.abt. 1828 in Harrison Co? He married Elizabeth Foster, b. Carroll Co. The 1880 census he was living in Cadiz and worked for the Gasworks. He had a brother Amos Wesley Kent who was killed in the Civil War at Marks Mills, Arkansas. They both lived in Iowa before the war. Otho went back to Ohio sometime before 1866. I would appreciate any information about this family.

We believe,at this point, that William & Mary Drake were the parents of my 2xgreat-grandfather,Thomas Drake,boen 1810 MD. Thomas Drake married Hannah Browning in Harrison Co. on 25 Jan.1837. Does anyone have access to the 1820,1830,1840 & 1850 census for Harrison Co., OH.?  I'm trying to track the BROWNING's listed; especially John BROWNING. He might have moved to Nottingham Twp. but I'm not sure yet.  I believed he moved from Southampton Twp., Bedford Co., PA. &. possibly is the father of my 2xgreat-grandmother,Hannah BROWNING, born circa 1815 in either OH. or MD. to unknown parents. I also believed Hannah had a sister Cassandra BROWNING as they named their daughter's after each other.   Thanks for any help!
