The James P BEALL Family, Circa 1820 of Cadiz, Harrison County, to Kewanna, Ohio We are searching for any information on James Beall and his children. My Great Grandfather, Zephaniah BEALL, was the son of James Beall. Zephaniah was the youngest of twelve children; all of whom preceeded Zephaniah in death. Zephaniah was born on 2-19-1847 near Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio. James P Beall moved his family near Bucyrus, Crawford County, Ohio when Zephaniah was six years old. At the age of sixteen, Zephaniah joined Company E, 34th O.V.I.; in which he spent over two years in the Civil War. Most of his soldiering was done under General Sheridan in the Shenandoah Valley. On June 27,1872 he married Jennie A FOSTER of Bucyrus, Ohio. They came to Fulton County, Indiana soon after their marriage and moved onto ZephaniahAEs farm, five miles east of Kewanna. They lived there until 1903; while the farm remained in the family, where my Grandfather and Mother were born. James P Beall, ? I am looking for someone who may have knowledge of the genealogy of General George Armstrong CUSTER. I am working on a search of a Sarah (Sally) CUSTER who was born 21 Jun 1801 in Ohio and married James WILLEY in 1820. They lived the rest of their lives in Erie County, PA. Sarah died 01 Jan 1844 and is said to be a cousin of General Custer. Since he was born in Harrison County, Ohio, I am hoping that possibly their is a Custer genealogy that would link my Sarah to the same family. Any help would be appreicated.

I have been researching the HAVERFIELD and BLAIR families in Harrison County, Ohio for a number of years and have quite a bit of information I will gladly share. I visit the area about twice a year and spend time in the Courthouse and libraries. I am updating a 1919 genealogy that was done on the HAVERFIELD FAMILY of the U.S. by Dr. Wallace Taylor in his "A Genealogy and Brief History of the Haverfield Family of the United States." and am trying to gather information on current HAVERFIELD descendants. The vast majority of all Haverfields in the U.S. descend from the family which settled in Harrison Co., Ohio in the early 1800's. I will share all information and hope to bring all the lines up to the present day. If you are tied to the Haverfields be proud they were pioneers in settling the County. I am also doing research on the John Blair family of Cadiz Tp Harrison Co,OH.
