COALMAN, COLEMAN, COLMAN, COOPER posted by Patrick Burke on Thursday, December 3, 1998: I am seeking the parents of John COLEMAN (or COLMAN, COALMAN, etc.), b. 1805 or 1806 in Ohio (county unknown), and I am interested in learning more about the family of John COALMAN who lived in Harrison Co., OH in 1820 and had two male children 10 to 15 years old in his household. John COLEMAN (b. 1805/1806) m. ca. 1825 Mary COOPER, b. ca. 1805 Baltimore, MD. They lived in Guernsey Co., OH from at least 1826 to 1837 when they removed to Rockingham, Scott Co., IA. John and Mary's known children and birth years were: James (1826), Andrew (1828), Margaret (1836), John H.S. (1840), Egbert (1842), and Thomas C. (1844). Mary COOPER had at least one sibling, Thomas COOPER, who lived in Guernsey Co., OH and removed to Scott Co., IA in the mid-1840s. Any help greatly appreciated.

PARKS, SPARKS posted by Tavier Parks on Sunday, December 6, 1998: Looking for Robert PARKS born after 1758, died in Harrison County 2 Sept. 1840. He had one known son, Wesley Parks. Robert's wife and parents are unknown. Any information would be helpful. I've found a Sgt. Robert SPARKS, listed on the military roll in the War of 1812, and am unsure if there could be a tie. Thank you for your aid in this quest.

They had two sons, William and John. John died when he was 14. William married Ellen HARVISON or HARVESTON of Meigs County TN. William and Rachel lived in Rhea County TN, had 5 children, and they both died here in Rhea. Thanks.

Also looking for information on Jonas HINEBAUGH/HEIMBAUGH m. to Sarah living there at the same time where their son William Harrison HINEBAUGH/Heimbaugh was probably born in 1837.
